About Us
Who We Are
Founded in 1957, Las Amigas de Las Lomas (The Friends on the Hill) is an auxiliary of the Charitable Children’s Guild of Orthopaedic Hospital. To date, we have raised more than $1,ooo,000 for the hospital, primarily through our annual horse show. We generally raise between $30,000 and $50,000 annually.
Our Mission
Our mission statement is simple – raise money for the hospital while having fun with our friends. We are not your typical volunteer organization with lots of rules, regulations, and requirements. We believe that keeping it simple is the best policy.
The Horse Show
Helping with the horse show is fun! There is something for everyone and their family members too—from cooking, to handing out ribbons to working the silent auction
Las Ninas
Las Amigas is associated with Las Ninas de Las Madrecitas. Members’ daughters can join Las Ninas—a volunteer organization for middle and high school aged girls. Las Ninas contribute volunteer hours to the hospital and participate in organized activities including fashion shows, mother daughter teas and culminating with the Evergreen Ball where high school Senior Las Ninas are presented and honored for their volunteer hours.
